I have been tweaking the performance of my first and newly self-built 16 inch Newtonian scope. Last night was gloriously clear so I decided to take a few short test exposures to see how everything performs. This first light color image of IC434 is of the famous horse raising its head through the interstellar dust of creation. This one hour exposure was made with an ST10XME through Ha, G, and B filters.
