I could not resist the serene beauty of last night’s pristinely clear sky. The silvery light of a half moon not withstanding, I decided to at least try and image something rather than just let such a beautiful evening slip by. I chose to take a quick portrait of a well positioned and favorite blizzard of stars in the southern skies, Omega Centauri. It was just barely visible to the naked eye and nearly as large as the moon that endeavored to outshine it.
