The Witch Head Nebula IC 2118 IC 2118 is a broad swath of intergalactic dust stretching the width of eight moons. It reflects the brilliant young energy of nearby Rigel with a blue glow. Its suggestive shape lends the Witch Head Nebula its name and was captured with a total exposure time lasting a little over six hours under dark sky. This image was taken through a small 77mm Borg ED f4.3 refractor and a cooled ATK16HR camera.
