IC1848 is a cluster of young stars with surrounding nebulosity in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is particularly rich in star forming hydrogen gas and responds well to hydrogen alpha exposures. Delicate blue reflection nebulae from newly born stars make this region even more interesting as do contrasting dark dust lanes and patches.
