Weeks of clouds finally cleared and I wanted to catch this image as quickly as possible before clouding up again. Here is a 2.5 hour exposure of the Gum Nebula in Monoceros. The prominent dark lane is cataloged as LDN 1657. The field of view is 79 x 105 arc minutes. The amount of light captured in such a short time through an 8” Newtonian at f2.8 is quite impressive.
