The Great Orion Nebula, M42 is probably one of the easiest targets to find in the sky and one of the most often imaged. It is however difficult to image well because it includes areas of greatly contrasting brightness. Its sublime beauty has invited me to image it time and time again and each time trying to do better than the last. This effort was done on a clear dark December night. A Borg77ED f4.3 astrograph and an ATK16HR cooled camera were employed to obtain a total exposure time of 3.8 hours.
