2P Enke

Comet 2P Enke come every 3.3 years and is presently in the constellation Pisces. It is on its way to closest approach with the sun on March 10, 2017 when it is expected to be observable with binoculars at around magnitude 7. Its is presently just outside the orbit of Mars at around magnitude 15 in this image exposed 2×10 minutes with an 8″ f4.6 Newtonian. It is located right off center at 4 o’clock of galaxy NGC 7422.
