Comet Lulin C/2007 N3 February 25, 2009

As Comet Lulin heads towards opposition a day from now, a hint of an ion tail might be emerging below the comet’s head (at 7 o’clock). The long trailing dust tail appears more than five full moon widths and extends beyond this image’s 104×155 arc minute field of view.
