IC 1848 – The Soul Nebula

With the moon waning, the cloudy weather dissipating, and subdued city lights during Covid slowdown, I was able to visit IC1848 in Cassiopeia. The nebula hosts young stars embedded in its star-forming hydrogen clouds and is often called the “Soul Nebula”, though I have absolutely no idea why.
