The Horsehead Nebula, IC434 is a perennial favorite of astroimagers. It is a most challenging object to observe visually even in large apertures, but it easily appears in small telescopes and short exposures through the miracle of a CCD. This is my fourth version of the Horsehead over several years. It also includes the delicate blue of the reflection nebula NGC 2023.
