Interacting Galaxy Pair in Aries

NGC680 and NGC678 is a not too often imaged galaxy pair in Aries. Faint shells surround the core of elliptical galaxy NGC680. The distortion is a result of its gravitational interaction with NGC678, an edge on galaxy with a prominent dust lane.
