Jupiter SEB Revival

The sky finally cleared tonight after nearly a week of clouds and rain. Jupiter was already very low in the west and about to disappear behind a tree top by 6:44pm when I took this image. The South Equatorial Belt SEB appears to have nearly fully revived since its first detection By Chris Go three months ago, November 9, 2010. It width is back to normal and displays complex knots and formations. The planet now appears only 38.4 arc second wide at the equator and continues to shrink each night as it recedes from the Earth.
