Lovejoy’s Second Tail Disconnection in Two Days

After the December 24 tail disconnection, the tail of Comet Lovejoy C2014 Q2 appears to have undergone a second tail disconnection in this Dec 26 image! The upper portion of the tail is clearly truncated and the lower portion has a distinct knot. The tail is full recovered again in the following Dec 27 image. The field of view is 3 degrees wide in all images.
