A fast moving dust storm is seen over Utopia and is blowing across the north polar cap. Judging from its color, it probably originated from the plains of Elysium further to the south. It is evident in the above February 1 image and trails off as a thinner dust stream onward to the other side of the pole. The dust storm subsided considerably the next day as seen in the following Feb 2 image. I wanted to test the difference in image quality between a DBK21 color camera (top image) and Dragonfly 2 black and white camera (bottom image). These two images of Mars taken under fair S5/10 seeing, and excellent T5/5 transparency are the results.
