The Great Andromeda Galaxy M31 is one of those favorite targets that are captured time and time again as a progress benchmark of an imager’s skill. M31 is our own galaxy’s closest galactic neighbor and is so close that its apparent size in the sky is equal to the width of six full moons. It is easily visible to the naked eye under dark clear sky.
This new image is for my daughter, Monique, who considers an older version I took several years ago to be her favorite sample of my work.
