AR1169 Fireworks

I was too lazy this morning to check the sun but my instincts nagged me to never-the-less take a peek. AR 1169 was setting on the western limb with fireworks-like prominences to herald the sunspot good bye!

Three hours later when I took a second look,  the firworks were totally gone.
