IC 426 and IC 423 in Orion

The vaguely mushroom shape of IC 426 and IC 423 to its right inhabit the area just north of the line of three stars forming the belt of Orion. Clouds of red star forming hydrogen gas harbor newly born stars embedded in a delicate blue mist of heated proto material.
