M81 and M82

The famous galaxy pair of M81 and M82 in Ursa Major is an irresistible target for galactic tourists like myself. Hydrogen alpha exposure helps bring out the red filaments of hydrogen superwind emanating from the core of M82. It is believed that this outburst is triggered by its gravitational interaction with M81.
